Foundation Radio and Deutsche Welle reinforce partnership

Foundation Radio Cameroon and Deutsche Welle (DW) Germany, have assured to maintain their five-year partnership. This resolve was taken during a workshop organised for Deutsche Welle partners in Cameroon from December 7 to 9, 2014. The workshop that held at the Douala Sawa Hotel was coordinated by France Greber, who is in charge of Deutsche Welle African partners. Also in attendance was May Mahnken, first secretary at the German embassy in Yaounde, Cameroon, also in charge of relations with the press.
France Greber explained that the come together was organised to reinforce the partnership between DW and African Medias Sub of the Sahara. She also announced the new orientation that was being given DW by its new management to ensure that DW imposes in the world media landscape in the likes of the BBC and CNN. She as a result challenged the DW-Cameroon partners to show more engagement and professionalism in their programmes so as to fit into the new objectives of the DW hierarchy. France Greber however promised to do her best to sustain the partnership within the available means.
France Greber acknowledged the dedication of Foundation Radio to DW and especially lauded its CEO, Dr. Christopher Fomunyoh for his support to ensure such a sustainable rapport.
Over 22 partners also took time to relax in the South West Region of Cameroon, where they visited some touristic sites in Buea and Limbe.
